Carolyn Howe

Introduction:

Carolyn Howe is an associate at Crook Legal Group. She will support clients with their employment-related needs.

Before joining Crook Legal Group, Carolyn worked as a Deputy County Attorney at the Utah County Attorney’s Office in the Criminal Division where she represented the County in pre-trial hearings, trials, sentencings, post-conviction hearings, and appeals cases. Carolyn enjoys building relationships based on trust and open communication, which led her to successfully negotiate thousands of criminal case resolutions during her time with the County.

Prior to working for the County, Carolyn was an associate attorney at a boutique law firm focusing on the unique issues affecting homeowner associations, the people living and governing in them, and the people who develop them. Carolyn regularly reviewed, revised, and negotiated homeowner association governing documents to ensure compliance with current Utah statutes governing condominiums, community associations, and nonprofit corporations honing her attention to detail and ability to perform comprehensive reviews of contracts and other documents.

Carolyn received her J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law and her B.A. from Brigham Young University - Idaho. She developed an interest in employment law after taking an employment law course during law school.
